How Did We Get Here?..

People must think I'm crazy. I currently have 2 jobs, a boyfriend, a home, 4 pets, friends, a giant family, and the constant need to do more.

My heart bleeds for children and animals. I'm not a mother, but I do have fur-babies and I know how I can help other animals who need it. After taking in 4 animals, Yano (my boyfriend), who also has an insane love of animals, said "No more I can't take the shedding." I don't blame the guy, we look like Chinchillas when we wear anything black. We should turn our front lawn into a giant lint roller for whenever we leave the house. So I thought up a plan and bookmarked it in my brain with the other thousand tabs I have open on a daily basis. I pictured doing this during my retirement or 10-20 years from now. One day, I decided to say f*%$ it, I'm going to do it now and hope Yano doesn't leave me (LOL, JK, I think..). Even if this doesn't turn out to be anything huge, if I can save one animal from death row of a kill shelter or rescue a creature who is fending for themselves on the streets, it will all be worth it.

I did not anticipate how many people would be so supportive and it really warms my normally cynical heart. I'm not going to lie- I'll need all of your support to pull this off. Between the t-shirt campaign and the Go fund Me, we have raised just about enough money to start the 501(c)(3) process. Once that's out of the way, we can start fundraising events to generate larger sums of income, donated services, food, etc. We can then start taking in the animals that so desperately need our help.

What we need second to funding, but what is equally as important, is fosters. We can't take any animals until we have people who are willing to provide shelter and love until they find a forever home. We will have a formal foster application on the site by later this evening and I encourage all of you to check it out and please share!

Thank you all so much for reading this, I will try to blog regularly to keep everyone up to date on how the process is going. Your support is appreciated and highlights the immense good that is in the world, but is often forgotten. You the real MVP.
